Since I’m sitting here watching the snow fall (again…at the end of May) I figured I’d celebrate another fine winter wedding! Heather and Petr knew they loved the beauty of the snow and the mountains so they decided to have their wedding at Sapphire Point and reception at Copper Mountain.
I met Heather for her getting ready prep at an Air BnB they rented in Frisco, Colorado. I loved her monogrammed flannel and the always winter ready necessities of long johns under her dress. (Although we did get SUPER lucky and the day turned out to be a brilliant winter’s day: chilly but not freezing with beautiful Colorado blue skies!)
Their ceremonies were interfaith and beautiful. I loved the eastern European tradition Petr’s family brought to the ceremony by binding their hands together during the ceremony then as they leave the ceremony, the two have to work together with one pair of scissors to cut a “doorway” through fabric into their “new life” together. It was a tradition I had never seen before and thought was adorable!
After a quick round of photos at Sapphire we were off to Copper Mountain (my favorite mountain I might add!) for more photos and fun before a nice dinner at the C.B. Grille.
